Hitokoe — Privacy Policy

Hitokoe is a private, offline notebook of people you meet in person. Everything you record and save lives only on your device. Hitokoe has no user accounts and no servers of ours — we do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.

What we collect

Nothing. We (the developer) do not receive any of your data. Hitokoe has no backend, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party data collection SDKs.

What stays on your device

The content you create is stored locally on your iPhone and is under your control:

• The short video "hellos" you and others record.
• Names, notes, tags, and any contact fields (phone, email, social handles) you type in.
• Optional place labels for where you met someone.
• Your optional signature PIN (stored only as a salted hash) and app-lock setting.

Permissions we ask for, and why

• Camera & Microphone — to record video hellos. Recorded only when you choose to.
• Speech Recognition — to caption what's said in a hello. This uses Apple's speech recognition service; it is not sent to us.
• Location — only if you add a place to a memory. Converting coordinates to a place name uses Apple's geocoding service; the location is not sent to us.
• Local Network & Bluetooth — for "bump": exchanging a hello directly with a nearby phone. See below.
• Face ID / Touch ID — only if you turn on App Lock, handled by Apple's local authentication. We never see your biometrics.

Bump (meeting someone)

When two people "bump" their phones, the app exchanges each person's hello video and profile directly device-to-device over Apple's MultipeerConnectivity (local Wi-Fi/Bluetooth). This happens only when both people deliberately bump, and it does not pass through any server — not ours, not anyone's.

Backups

You can export a backup file yourself using the iOS share sheet. Where it goes (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, etc.) is entirely your choice and governed by that service's own terms. We never receive your backup.

Sharing with third parties

We do not share your data with anyone, because we never have it. Opening a saved social link (e.g. Instagram) simply hands off to that app/website, which then acts under its own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Delete a person to remove their thread, or delete the Hitokoe app to remove everything it stored on your device. There is nothing on our side to delete, because we never collected anything.

Children

Hitokoe is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13.

Hitokoe là cuốn sổ riêng tư, hoạt động ngoại tuyến, về những người bạn gặp ngoài đời. Mọi thứ bạn quay và lưu đều nằm chỉ trên máy của bạn. Hitokoe không có tài khoản, không có máy chủ của chúng tôi — chúng tôi không thu thập, lưu trữ, truyền, bán hay chia sẻ dữ liệu cá nhân của bạn.

Chúng tôi thu thập gì

Không gì cả. Chúng tôi (nhà phát triển) không nhận bất kỳ dữ liệu nào của bạn. Hitokoe không có máy chủ, không phân tích (analytics), không quảng cáo, không theo dõi, và không có SDK thu thập dữ liệu của bên thứ ba.

Những gì ở lại trên máy bạn

• Các video "lời chào" ngắn bạn và người khác quay.
• Tên, ghi chú, nhãn, và thông tin liên hệ (số điện thoại, email, mạng xã hội) bạn tự nhập.
• Địa điểm tuỳ chọn cho nơi bạn gặp ai đó.
• Mã PIN chữ ký (chỉ lưu dạng băm) và thiết lập khoá app, nếu bạn bật.

Các quyền và lý do

• Camera & Micro — để quay lời chào, chỉ khi bạn chủ động quay.
• Nhận dạng giọng nói — để tạo phụ đề; dùng dịch vụ của Apple, không gửi cho chúng tôi.
• Vị trí — chỉ khi bạn thêm địa điểm; đổi toạ độ sang tên nơi chốn qua dịch vụ của Apple, không gửi cho chúng tôi.
• Mạng cục bộ & Bluetooth — để "cụng máy" trao đổi lời chào trực tiếp với máy gần đó.
• Face ID / Touch ID — chỉ khi bạn bật Khoá App; do Apple xử lý, chúng tôi không thấy sinh trắc học của bạn.

Cụng máy (Bump)

Khi hai người cụng máy, ứng dụng trao đổi video lời chào và hồ sơ của mỗi người trực tiếp máy-với-máy qua MultipeerConnectivity của Apple (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth cục bộ). Việc này chỉ xảy ra khi cả hai chủ động cụng máy và không đi qua bất kỳ máy chủ nào.

Sao lưu

Bạn tự xuất tệp sao lưu qua khung chia sẻ của iOS. Lưu vào đâu (Tệp, iCloud Drive, AirDrop…) là do bạn chọn. Chúng tôi không nhận bản sao lưu của bạn.

Xoá dữ liệu

Xoá một người để bỏ luồng của họ, hoặc xoá app Hitokoe để xoá mọi thứ đã lưu trên máy. Phía chúng tôi không có gì để xoá vì chưa từng thu thập.
